1983 Mercedes Benz 500SEL European Model (NON-USA import)

Same family ownership since 1985 (documented with service records). Imported to USA via New York. Purchased on 1/28/85 through U.S. Auto Imports & Exports, INC. Still retain orig bill of sale. It was purchased as a gift by a private business owner for his wife. We have a clean Car Fax available for review.

This European version 126 Sedan still retains it’s original bumpers as intended from the factory. The sunroof works properly.

The paint shows beautiful strong color and shine. Very little outside light has exposed the vehicle as it was a third car driven sparsely. Body panels all have proper fitment and spacing. Upon close up inspection there are some scratches to note on trunk and hood.

Original dashpad is perfect. Driver side factory supplied fire-extinguisher. Carpet shows incredibly well for being original. AC system is still original R-12. We just had it serviced and it blows ice cold correctly on all fan speeds. There are 4 matching blue floor mats in really nice condition. Wood trim has seen no fading but does have a few light cracks from age. Original Becker radio works great, nice sound and the original Hirschman antennae goes up and down with proper operation. Original First Aid-Kit in rear window area untouched. All door trim is nearly perfect. Electric seats all operate as they should.

Interior cream-beige original leather upholstery has been incredibly well preserved. The front seats were covered with sheep skins that are still retained and in good condition. The leather throughout the interior is soft to touch with perfect patina. There are no cracks, splitting or damage anywhere. On the headliner you will not find any stains, marks or damage. All interior lights and switches work as they should.

Original 14 inch bundt factory alloys in good condition. Just replaced all 4 tires with brand new correctly sized Hankook tires.

The vehicle was serviced prior to our acquisition by the seller and then upon delivery a mechanical inspection and service was completed.

Original, spare, jack and tool roll are all present. 2 Original key fob masters with red button. Trunk is spotless and the carpet is like new. Most of the books and manuals have been retained. The MB service booklet starts off with documentation at Mercedes Benz in Manhattan, New York – 1985. All service records from previous ownership have been retained. Excellent documentation with service details, dates and mileage are all available for review.

Nice glossy paint shows original depth and thickness all around. A few minor impressions can be found upon close inspection.

The blue upholstery is in good condition without cracks or tears. A dashboard cover lays over the top due to age. All switchgear works properly. A Pioneer head unit was installed previously to replace the original radio.

Deep service history / 3 ring binder full of service receipts and vehicle history. Impressive documentation has been kept and passed along from prior ownership that includes services performed, dates and mileage increments.

3 recent service highlights completed since 2018 include the following items: New timing belt, water pump, rear shocks, rear struts, mounts, front struts inserts, upper mounts, new front and rear springs and wheel bearings. The oil and filter service was also done.

1980 Mercedes 450SL – SOLD

One of the last 450SL’s produced in the final month of USA production, September of 1980. Lived a charmed life in Oregon and Seattle as a weekend extra car always garaged. Upon acquisition from an estate the books, manuals and service history could not be located according to the care taker.

Paint shines nice, brightwork is good, body panels line up even with proper fitment and glass is all original MB.

Original MB Tex palomino seats show light wear. Good carpet throughout. Dashpad is perfect. Hard top headliner is excellent. Middle consul zebrano style wood still shows deep color and minor use.

Nice sounding original AM/FM Becker factory issue head unit with cassette player. Antennae goes up and down properly with on/off power and manual switch operation. Heat works good, AC is not operational.

Motor fires right up, runs smooth and quiet. 3 speed automatic shift quality is crisp and even. An enjoyable cruiser at all speeds. A superb quiet driver consistent with the 1980 450 model. Tight suspension and steering.

Minor blemishes from age and use will be found upon close inspection.

Tidy engine bay. Trunk carpet is really nice / spare tire well area is extra clean. Undercarriage on this 450SL is super clean still showing factory cosmoline and markings.

Very clean, dry west coast car believed to be 2 owner history that’s always been garaged.

Factory 14 inch bundt wheels all have been completely restored. Correctly sized tires show good tread.

2 original keys including valet key.

1983 Mercedes 280CE Euro Import – Price – SOLD

This handsome 2 door coupe was originally delivered new in Germany and later imported correctly into the United States via Elm Creek, North Carolina by Autos European, INC. All DOT and EPA requirements were done upon importation. We acquired the vehicle from a private Mercedes collection that resided in Pueblo, Colorado. The personalized license plates issued by Colorado state wear the name “Benz 83”.

Wartungsheft Personenwagen book with multiple MB authorized dealer service stamps and dates ascending forward from new purchase. Original data card with all vehicle option codes from new.

Original Becker Europa AM/FM Radio with cassette player. Sound is vintage real over the speakers. Factory 2 position sun roof with wind deflector. Pillar-less coupe windows with power front and hand crank rear.

Paint is in very nice original condition that’s been well preserved with a deep gloss shine. Petrol Blue-Green is a beautiful color to look at in all spectrums of light. A color not so frequently seen. Upon close inspection you will find a few minor blemishes that do not detract. The color scheme is outstanding.

Interior is in very original time capsule like condition. Seats wore sheepskins for many years hence the excellent preservation. Door cards and seats have matching factory cloth style interwoven white/cream stitching material. Pleats on seats are excellent and supple. Outside seat linings and head-rests are cream MB Tex material. Original dash pad shows 2 cracks. Wood shows nice gloss color with light wear.

As it arrived from the factory this model retains its european fitted bumpers giving it a sleeker look. Chrome and rubber show good condition.

110 Mercedes legendary I-6 motor. 4 speed automatic transmission. A hi revving peppy spirited balanced driving experience. Starts up on the first turn every time. These cars are incredible.

1972 Mercedes 350SL – SOLD

This a USA delivered early 107 Mercedes badged 350SL from new.  The early cars designated for USA had the 4.5L V-8 motor.  In a captivating color scheme, Grey-Blue over Black MB Tex, it shows excellent paint quality and shine.  Repainted in the original color about 10 years ago, it was a very nicely executed job.  Documentation with stamps in the MB service booklet and ancillary service records corroborating mileage.

The interior shows excellent time capsule condition.  Dashboard is original and shows perfect without flaws.  An early instrument cluster panel is clean showing high contrast between orange needles and speedo/rpm gauges.  All switches are easily designated, unworn and work properly.  MB Tex seats show no signs of wear, tearing, cracking or fading.  Both door cards look new.  The carpet is loop style in excellent condition and does not show fading or damage.

According to the previous owner a new black soft top replacement was installed 2 years ago.  The hard top is in excellent condition with a near perfect headliner and all original glass and seals in top shape.

The motor fires up immediately without hesitation.  Driving is effortless with tight steering, responsive acceleration, immediate torque and tight supple suspension feel.  It drives as you would expect a 50,000 mile SL to perform.  A superb example with very low documented miles that’s been well preserved.

Approximately 9,000 miles ago the muffler was replaced along with a new steering damper and 2 new rear shocks were installed.

Original Becker radio works properly.

14 inch non chrome bundt style wheels in excellent condition.  Nice tires show good tread.

Original early 107 slim fit bumpers.

All original books, manuals, convertible tools, spare tire, jack, original key and service history accompany the vehicle.

1990 Mercedes Benz 300SE – SOLD

This California original exquisite 4 door sedan is in excellent condition.  It was purchased new and delivered on 4/15/90 at Downtown LA – Mercedes Benz to a local couple from Palos Verdes Estates.  Ownership is exclusive to Southern California since new.

The vehicle wears its original factory paint.  Upon close inspection there are a few blemishes that can be seen.  All original body vin tags in place.

An original interior so well preserved it looks and feels new with correct patina.  Soft leather upholstery, excellent carpets and deep wood finish.

The original dash-pad is in excellent condition.

Original Becker Grand Prix Radio/Cassette in working condition with original audio equipment.  The only addition is an Alpine multi-CD player mounted in trunk.
