Original dash-pad in perfect condition

Optioned with sunroof.  All original Mercedes issued glass.  Beautiful chrome.

Beautiful carpet.  Original first aid-kit.  No sun fade on rear window area carpet.  Rear window slats in excellent condition.  Perfect headliner.

Originally purchased new through the European Delivery program at Mission Viejo Imports Mercedes Orange County, California.  Retains the original dealership license plate frame.

Always garage kept and it shows.  Paint shows hi gloss shine.  Marred only by a few minor scratches on driver door to be expected with age.  Hard to find them in this all original time capsule quality preserved interior.

Excellent drive quality with firm and smooth suspension.  A pleasure to drive.

MB Service booklet stamped with several dates and mileage increments showing strong consistent service from new.  All additional service records have been retained through previous ownership and are available for review.

Euro Spec 107 with 2.8L 6 cylinder hi revving 110 motor

Original Euro bumpers and Bosch headlamps with level adjustable vacuum control switch properly working and side marker turn signals.  Still retains European tail lights with orange corners rather than USA red.  Original MB front windscreen glass.

Original dash pad shows a few cracks.  Nice upholstery matched carpet.  MB TEX style seats show well with only a few blemishes.  Arm-rest shows discoloration.

Equipped with AC and Heater (AC not currently working)

15 inch newer Michelin Pilot tires showing excellent tread over “mesh style” low profile wheels

1980 Mercedes Benz 450 SL – Price – SOLD

Santa Barbara, California car in same family ownership until July 2017 when it changed hands.  Upon sale it received a smog inspection service to update equipment for California emissions successful pass.  Shortly thereafter a full brake service including pads and calipers plus an oil and filter change were performed.   Records available.  A matching set of new tires, with the recommended factory dimensions were then installed over the Mercedes factory non-chrome 14 inch Bundt style rims.  The steering had significant play and a replacement of the steering coupling was completed in January of 2018.

Nice quality respray executed approximately 5 years ago in the factory color.

Motor is highly responsive and vehicle behaves well in both city and highway conditions.  Lovely driver.  Powerful responsive 4.5L V8 showing no hesitation on throttle top to bottom.  Shift quality is good, tracks straight, rides smooth.

Generally solid undercarriage.  Chrome shows some minor dings.  Hood has a few minor abrasions.  AC and heat not currently working.  Recent diagnosis is AC will need blower motor.  Original dash pad shows negligible cracks.  Consul wood shows wear.  Upholstery shows seam split-light tear on head rests.  Carpet could be addressed or deep cleaned for simple driver quality level.  Trunk missing floor carpet.  Soft top will need to be addressed.

Little documentation history passed along from previous sale.

California registration is current with Cali special order black/yellow plates.
