This is an exceptional example final model year 450SL that has been incredibly well preserved over its 40 years of existence.

The classic white paint shows a beautiful shine and deep luster. The chrome and brightwork looks new.

Inside the interior is in time capsule condition. The original dashpad is perfect free of any cracks. Both door panels show no evidence of heat or cooling cycles through the years. The zebrano wood is original and still retains its dark color without cracks. All carpet is original and looks new. The MB-Tex seats are in near perfect condition, showing vibrant color and excellent shape.

A Mercedes original soft top in dark brown has been up a handful of times. The stitching is still bright and the condition is like new. A matching white hard top comes with the vehicle.

The engine bay is clean and crisp and the trunk carpet is spotless. You will find the original spare that’s never been used with hang tag still affixed. It comes with the original first-aid kit.

The original factory 14 inch bundt wheels in like new condition wear correctly sized Michelin tires showing negligible use.

Drive quality is exceptional on this example.

This lovely looking Signal Red 560SL has lived the last decade in Northern California. A clean Carfax documents fastidious service and multiple mileage entries showing a clean history. Carfax available for review.

The paint shows excellent shine with good depth and luster. All chrome, rubber and trim look great and show minimal wear. The body panels are straight and even and all vin tags are original and untouched.

A beautiful rich black contrasting leather interior has excellent preservation and originality. The original black leather seats are in superb condition having been covered for many years by grey sheep skin covers that were recently removed and saved (inside the trunk). All leather is soft to touch with perfect patina. The original black carpet shows wonderful condition and the door cards also look great with lovely wood trim added for an extra touch. The dashpad has a black cover over the top and it blends just like the original The wood trim center consul shows deep color and zero sun fade. The instrument cluster still shows a well preserved brighter orange color highlight indicative of minimal sun exposure.

The black soft top is a german canvas material and appears to be a newer replacement. The original matching hard top comes with the car and shows in very nice condition.

Engine bay and trunk are extremely tidy.

Mechanically this example is very dialed and it accelerates, brakes, shifts just as Mercedes intended. We were overly impressed with the ride quality and driving experience it delivers. The AC blows cold and still operates on the original R12 equipment. A few of the more recent services include: Radiator replacement, oil service, radiator hoses, drive belts replaced and antifreeze / coolant flushed changed. The correctly sized tires are Michelins riding on the original stock alloy wheels.

This California example was purchased new at Caliber Motors – Anaheim, Hills Mercedes-Benz. A very nice example early production 560SL in Signal Red. A fully documented specimen with a Clean Carfax and a full service portfolio from last 2 owners.

Paint shows nice paint depth and high gloss. Body panel fitment and shut lines are straight. Chrome is in nice shape and all rubber appears well preserved. A few minor chips and minor flaws to be expected with age.

The gray leather interior shows excellent shape since the seats spent many years covered in sheep skins. Original leather upholstery shows well with vibrant color and supple feel. The original dash pad is perfect. Carpet is very clean, Mercedes floor mats are in excellent shape and door cards look nice. The long term garaging by prior ownership has nicely preserved the interior.

A new black canvas soft top was installed in 2019 and shows excellent condition.

The wheels are 15 inch chrome gullideckel factory style and show in very nice shape.

Service history over the past decade has been very steadfast as the owner always attended to routine maintenance and preventative work regular services. All maintenance history is available for review. The lifetime California and Arizona climate has treated the undercarriage very well and pics are available for review.

A highly original superb example 450SEL long-wheel base 116 USA delivered car. Delivered to Worldwide Motors of Indianapolis, Indiana on 8/4/78. A numbers matching vehicle accompanied by owners manuals.

2 ownership history prior to our acquisition. Held by original owner until 2015.

Incredible factory finish of Anthracite Grey (DB-172) is original on the car except the trunk that was retouched by previous owner at an excellent quality level.

Interior is virtually in time capsule condition highlighting the original supple black upholstery, wood, carpet, and dashpad (flawless). The USA SEL models had no shortage of every option added including AC and electric sunroof. The Becker AM/FM radio-cassette still operates as it should with clean sound through the stock speakers. A factory First-Aid kit lives untouched in the rear shelf area.

Rides on original 14 inch non-chrome bundt wheels wrapped in correctly sized Michelin tires.

A nice example California lifetime owned highly desirable early 107SL. Fitted from factory with Euro slim bumpers.

The original color, Silver Gray, shows good condition with light patina and a recent clear coat retouch on hood and a few body panels. Good chrome trim and original glass.

Wonderful period correct color red on this early SL. Original dashpad shows minor crack near center. Excellent door cards, middle consul has been attended to with sharp restoration work. An early example equipped with hand crank windows. Seats appear to be original and show good supple shape with no tears or damage. The carpet is clean and vibrant in color. An aftermarket head unit has been installed as well as a charger device capable of 3 inputs.

We installed a brand new bordeaux color canvas soft top. Fitment is perfect. Brand new straps were installed on the underside.

The vehicle has been fitted with brand new tires all around in the correctly sized dimensions. The 14 inch alloy bundt wheels are in excellent shape.

Fully documented with a thick service history package showing dates, mileage and repair invoices. MB service booklet shows service history with dates and mileage.

Mechanically the car is dialed. Motor is in excellent shape. Solid torquey acceleration. Transmission shifts effortlessly. Steering tracks straight without any play. There are no fluid leaks to note. An excellent example of preservation and originality on this final model year 1989 635CSI. The last ownership was local in the affluent Southern California city of Rancho Mirage. The last steward travelled between 2 residences in Washington and California where this E24 lived a charmed life. A clean Carfax is available for review.

The original factory paint has a bright deep shine and soft to touch feel. All chrome, trim and rubber present excellent. A few minor scuffs can be found but do not in any way detract from the overall condition and would be expected with age. Trunk bolts are untouched. Even factory lines and gap space on body. Every panel has its original vin tag affixed.

This specimen has an original dashpad in flawless condition. Several recent service records indicate no expense was spared keeping up with preventative and regular mechanicals. BMW leather shows very nice and soft without tears or damage and correct patina. The original carpet is in excellent condition and the door cards and panels have been well preserved. 2 way power sunroof opens and closes with ease. Equipped with its original anti-theft radio in good working condition with nice sound.

Drive quality is excellent as one would expect for a well serviced BMW. The gearbox shifts effortlessly and smooth while acceleration is strong and full at all speeds. Steering feels tight and comfortable. Braking system is excellent without any pull or sway with 80% brake pads left.

All 4 tires are correctly sized Michelin TRX over BMW factory alloys in excellent shape.

An exceptional example that was originally purchased in Northern California by Robert Miller Photography, its first owner, and lovingly cared for until 2014 when it changed hands. We have the original invoice and original window sticker. We are impressed at the condition and preservation on this vehicle and you will be hard pressed to find an equal.

The Signal Red paint shows very nice deep shine and luster. The chrome, rubber and trim look excellent. A matching hard top with high quality original headliner and superb glass and trim included.

The original issue Mercedes Wopavin black soft is in perfect condition as evidenced by its sparse usage and careful storage in the spotless convertible top compartment.

Exceptional interior with a flawless original dashpad. The instrument cluster markings and bright orange needles could easily rival vehicles with 1/2 the mileage. Original black leather upholstery still holds it’s supple look and feel and has a soft touch evidencing no dye or sun damage. Zebrano wood looks new with deep color and flawless lacquer finish free of blemishes or cracking. Carpets are perfect with even black color. Door cards do not show multiple heat and cold cycles on the trim. Equipped with an original AM/FM Becker cassette radio still in good working condition.

Sold new to Mr. Robert Langham of Kingwood, Texas on 2/17/78. A very nice example, this final generation 450SL 107 has recently gone through a major service. The previoius owner spared no expense upon their acquisition servicing any deferred and regular maintenance needs accordingly in 2019. Records available.

Interior shows excellent condition Leather seats look new having been preserved and covered by sheep skins for many years and steel feel soft and have mostly supple build. Original dashpad has minor crack near center. Carpet is in decent condition. Door cards look excellent. Wood consul does show some minor cracking. An aftermarket Alpine radio has been installed with cassette player. The original Becker has been ratained and this model was optioned with a cassette player in the glove box.

Paint shows very nice deep shine with excellent strong clear coat. A very high quality repaint was completed at some point in the factory color Silver Green Metallic (DB-861). All original glass, good chrome work, nice rubber and trim around car.

The brown canvas soft top appears to be a replacement in excellent condition.

Motor runs strong, gear box shifts effortlessly and acceleration feels very good. We replaced some fuel hoses and installed a new fuel accumulator. The AC blows cold. Everything is currently working and operating as it should.

All factory handbooks, original (first owner sold to) metal plate and data card are present. The MB Service booklet shows services with dates, mileage and services completed. Spare tire, jack, tool roll and original convertible tools all accounted for.
