Mileage: 57,590 (original) documented with records from new.

Final model year 450SL. Recent acquisition from original owner’s wife. He was an oil executive with multiple residences in the USA.

All original glass and chrome in excellent condition. Original dash pad is free of cracks and shows perfect condition. Zebrano wood shows nice glossy finish with darker color center consul and trim on dashboard. Original Becker Mexico AM/FM Cassette in good working condition. Hirschman Antennae goes up and down without issue. A kinder rear seat was installed in matching grey color with 2 safety belts. Most rest of world cars were optioned with this set up.

Excellent drive quality as one would anticipate Mercedes engineering to feel at this lower mileage. The vehicle has impressive acceleration at all speeds, good steering, excellent shift quality and a firm suspension. It just feels correct and well maintained.

The blue original factory soft top is in very good shape. Comes with matching hard top in excellent condition with like new looking interior headliner, excellent chrome and MB glass.

Factory alloy 14 inch bundt wheels in nice condition wear an older set of Michelin tires with plenty of tread.

Recent oil and filter service.

Ice cold AC that’s already been converted to 134 freon. Blows properly on both fan speeds.

Full undercarriage and engine bay deep cleaning just completed.

Complete set of original issue hand-books and manuals. MB Service booklet with stamps for vehicle service history showing dates / mileage, factory build sheet etc. 2 original key fobs.

Sold new in Carlsbad, CA. by Hoehn Motors-Mercedes Benz. Final model year USA 450SL Just arrived in this rare color scheme, Thistle Green over Cream. Beautiful looks and extensive service history. We have a 3 ring folder full of records, spanning 4 decades back to new purchase in 1980, that has been preserved through prior ownership.

Paint shows bright shine and luster. A good quality respray was conducted by prior ownership in the factory color. A nice alternative to your typical colors, Thistle Green is impressive to the eye.

All orignal MB glass. The brightwork shows well with a few close up nicks.

A cream interior is an excellent contrast inside the cabin. We installed new OEM replacement MB-Tex seats in matching cream (235). Additionally, we had the seats fully refurbished including rebuilt springs and new padding. The original dash-pad shows no damage. The wood still has nice deep color and presents well. Door cards look to be in excellent condition. The matching lighter cream stock carpet shows well.

The original Becker AM/FM radio with cassette player is currently not working. We will try and source the issue.

The AC is not currently operating and will be checked further.

The brown soft top was replaced according to records in 2001. The canvas shows very well as it appears to have been sparsely used.

Still wearing the factory issued 14 inch Bundt style alloy wheels in nice condition. Newer correctly sized BF Goodrich tires showing negligible wear.

Tidy trunk area, light color original carpet is good. Spare tire well storage area is very clean.

Full Handbooks, data card and build sheet. 2 original keys including valet key.

Spare tire, tool roll, jack, tire iron and convertible tools all present.

AC and Heat working properly at the right temperatures and through the correct vents.

Navy Blue Soft Top and matching hard top

Major services done with records including preventative and regular maintenance such as timing chain, tensioner, rails, plugs, cap, rotor and the list goes on.  Recently had the AC serviced and fully recharged. AC Conversion already done to 134a and it really blows strong and ICE COLD!

Motor runs strong and shifts smooth. The previous 3 owners took care of the vehicle and it shows as it was garaged and covered. There is no rust on this vehicle and the undercarriage is very clean and dry. Original MBZ factory 14 inch alloy wheels non chrome in very nice condition not showing scratches or curb rash. Dashboard lights and cluster all in working order as are the windows and all switches.

Beautiful period correct matching color code Mercedes Hubcaps.  Rare short European bumpers.

No smog emissions to worry about on this car for California.

Mileage: 129,600 Original. “Actual Miles” Box verified on Arizona clean title certificate.

1972 and 1973 USA designated model 107SL Mercedes were delivered with the European style short bumpers.  A much more stylish look that is factory correct.

Absolutely no rust on this car.
